President Prabowo Subianto Praises Cabinet Unity in 8th Plenary Meeting

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (08/06) led the 8th Cabinet Plenary Meeting of his presidency at the Cabinet Meeting Room, Presidential Palace, Jakarta.

The meeting served as an evaluation of the administration’s achievements over the first ten months, which were fulfilled with strategic actions and achievements.

In his opening remarks, the President expressed deep appreciation for his Ministers’ unity and teamwork in steering the Government’s policies.

“As we are approaching the first 10 months of our administration, which is mandated by the people of Indonesia, these months have truly been full of work, achievements, and accomplishments.”

The President likened himself to a team captain leading a squad with the spirit of togetherness. Therefore, the President said he appreciated the hard work of the Red and White cabinet ranks.

“As the captain, as the President, as your leader, call me the team captain. I’d like to extend my sincere thanks for your hard work. From the bottom of my heart, le met convey my appreciation for your hard work,” the President said.

The Head of State also praised effective coordination among Ministers so that many strategic targets had been achieved.

“In such a short time, we have achieved a great deal. The strategies I laid out are starting to take effect. It’s clear that our strategy is right, we are heading in the right direction, we are aligned with the compass azimuth.”

President Prabowo Subianto further extended his appreciation to the economic team for working in solidarity with related ministries and agencies, especially through diplomatic efforts to safeguard national interests.

“We negotiated, we consulted, we did not act emotionally nor get provoked. We understand that we have significant interests. The role of the Indonesian Government is to protect our people, our workers, and their families.” said the President.

The President concluded by affirming that the Government’s transformational strategy which was established since the beginning of his administration will continue to be implemented based on realism, rather than mere idealism.

“We cannot confront real conditions with theory or fantasy. Idealism is valid, and necessary, but what saves us is realism. We must realistically assess the situation and take a deliberate action. (Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of the Presidential Secretariat) (TCUD/EP)
