President Prabowo Subianto Presides Over Bhayangkara 80th Anniversary, Confers National Honors on Police Personnel

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (07/01) led the Commemoration Ceremony of the 80th Bhayangkara Day—Indonesian National Police (Polri) anniversary at the Korbrimob training center parade ground in Cikeas, Bogor regency.
The President arrived at the venue at 7:35 a.m. Western Indonesia Time.
The ceremony began with the entry of the ceremony commander, followed by a procession bearing the Tri Brata, the official emblem of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and a ceremonial salute in its honor.
Inspector General of Police Suhendri served as the ceremony commander.
At approximately 7:55 a.m. WIB, the President, accompanied by the Vice President, proceeded to the ceremonial dais.
The President first received a report from the ceremony officer Brigadier General of Police Gatot Mangkurat Putra P.J., before assuming his role as the inspector of the ceremony, accompanied by Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
The ceremony opened with a salute, followed by the ceremony commander’s report to the inspector of the ceremony and a review of the troops. The President then led a moment of silence, after which the Tri Brata, guiding principles for all members of Polri, was recited.
During the ceremony, President Prabowo Subianto conferred the Honorary Decorations of the Republic of Indonesia and the Bintang Bhayangkara Nararya medal on several police units and personnel. The President also bestowed the Honorary Ranks of the Republic of Indonesia on a number of retired police officers.
Following the presentation of the awards, the President delivered his address in his capacity as inspector of the ceremony. In his remarks, he offered his congratulations on the 80th Bhayangkara Day to the entire family of the Indonesian National Police.
“This year’s theme, ‘Polri for the People,’ is highly appropriate. It reflects the true identity of the Indonesian National Polic, the focus of its service, and must continue to serve as a moral compass for every member of the Bhayangkara Corps,” the President stated.
Following the main ceremony, the President, accompanied by Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), stepped to the front of the formation to receive the Public Security and Safety Medal (Loka Praja Samrakshana), presented by the Indonesian National Police. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph of the President together with the assembled personnel.
The commemoration then continued with a series of demonstrations highlighting the capabilities and skills of personnel of the Indonesian National Police. The President and the Vice President observed performances by the Police Academy Cadets’ drum corps, a rifle drill, a hostage-rescue simulation, a parachute jump exhibition, and motorcycle trail-cross jumping accompanied by smoke bomb displays.
The President and Vice President also observed a ceremonial parade of police units passing in review before the grandstand. The parade showcased the readiness, discipline, and solidarity of the Indonesian National Police in carrying out their mission to safeguard public security and order.
Following the ceremony and parade, the event concluded with a thanksgiving celebration marking the 80th Bhayangkara Day. During the celebration, the President performed the traditional tumpeng-cutting ceremony and presented the first serving to the National Police Chief.
The 80th Bhayangkara Day Commemoration provided an important occasion for the Indonesian National Police to reaffirm its commitment to serving, protecting, and safeguarding the public.
