President Prabowo Subianto Receives National Hero Title Recommendations Ahead of Heroes Day 2026

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (11/04) received Minister of Culture Fadli Zon at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta to discuss recommendations from the Council for Titles, Medals of Service, and Honors on conferring National Hero titles on several national figures in commemoration of the 2026 Heroes Day.

During the meeting, the Minister presented the council’s recommendations, which followed a tiered process of research and evaluation by local committees (TP2GD) at the regency, city,\ and provincial levels, followed by the central committee (TP2GP) under Ministry of Social Affairs.

The council then reviewed the research and evaluation findings before presenting them to the President. This review is a mandatory step in the official nomination process for National Hero titles

The submission of these recommendations is an integral part of the official process for conferring the title of National Hero on individuals deemed to have demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to the nation and the state.

Through this process, the Government reaffirms the importance of preserving the values of heroism, patriotism, unity, and dedication to the nation as Indonesia moves forward. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (FI/MEP)
