President Prabowo Subianto to Spend Eid Eve in Medan, Celebrate Eid al-Fitr with Residents in Aceh

President Prabowo Subianto heads to Medan city, North Sumatra province, for a working visit on Friday (03/20).

President Prabowo Subianto Friday (03/20) departed for the North Sumatra provincial capital of Medan for a working visit ahead of attending Eid al-Fitr Prayer in the neighboring Aceh province the following day.

“The President will spend the eve of Eid al-Fitr in North Sumatra province and, insha Allah, perform Eid al-Fitr prayer in Aceh province the following morning,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a statement.

The President and his entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta at around 15.00 local time and were scheduled to land at Soewondo Air Force Base in Medan city.

The following morning, the Head of State is slated to perform Eid al-Fitr prayer in Aceh Tamiang regency, Aceh province, and to greet local residents after the prayer.

Joining the President on the flight to Medan are Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Vice Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (DH/EP)
