President Prabowo Subianto Visits India’s Rajghat Memorial
President Prabowo Subianto Saturday (01/25) visited Rajghat Memorial, New Delhi, India, to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony.
This activity is part of the President’s state visit to India that aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Upon arriving at the Rajghat Memorial—the site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation, President Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by two Indonesian students studying in India, laid a wreath in honor of the great leader of India’s independence struggle.
Afterwards, the President conducted a solemn procession around Mahatma Gandhi’s tomb. He also scattered flowers and observed a moment of silence as a symbol of respect.
Following the ceremony, President Prabowo Subianto wrote a message and signed the guestbook. “Mahatma Gandhi was a great leader, a great teacher, and a great inspiration for all of humanity. He has inspired me in the struggle for justice, freedom, and human dignity. May his soul rest in peace, and may his teachings endure forever,” wrote the President.
