President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (11/20) met with Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta to discuss strategic issues related to improving public welfare.

According to a written statement from Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the President and Vice Speaker discussed issues that have drawn public attention, including providing just social security for online transportation drivers.

“The meeting discussed various issues, from efforts to improve online transportation drivers, people-centered agrarian reform and land redistribution, to the organization of hajj pilgrimage services in 2026,” Teddy wrote.

During the meeting, the Vice Speaker also expressed the hopes of the Indonesian Village Heads Association (AKSI) that government flagship programs focus on the needs of village communities and support local economic development.

“Furthermore, the Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives also conveyed the aspirations of village heads associated with the Indonesian Village Heads Association (AKSI) that government programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) and Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives, bring more optimal benefits to village communities,” Teddy stated.
