President Prabowo to Attend Muhammadiyah’s Tanwir Meeting and 112th Anniversary
President Prabowo Subianto arrived at El Tari International Airport in Kupang city, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province, on Tuesday evening (12/3) to open Muhammadiyah’s Tanwir (enlightenment) meeting and 112th Anniversary. The presidential aircraft, carrying the Head of State and a limited entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at around 3:10 p.m. Western Indonesian Time and touched down at El Tari airport at approximately 7:00 p.m. Central Indonesian Time.
A ceremonial welcome was organized for President Prabowo at the airport, attended by prominent officials, including Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Acting Governor of NTT Andriko Noto Susanto, Commander of the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command Major General Muhammad Zamroni, Regional Police Chief of NTT Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga, and Deputy Head of the Hajj Organizing Agency Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak.
Afterward, President Prabowo headed to the hotel where he would stay the night in Kupang city. Upon his arrival, the Acting Mayor of Kupang, Linus Lusi, warmly welcomed the President.
“Tomorrow, President Prabowo is scheduled to attend and officially open the Tanwir (enlightenment) meeting and the 112th Anniversary of Muhammadiyah, which will be held at Muhammadiyah University in Kupang,” stated Yusuf Permana, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of Presidential Secretariat, in a written statement.
