President Prabowo to Host PM Albanese on Inaugural Overseas Visit

President Prabowo Subianto is slated to receive an official visit from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Indonesia from May 14 to 16. This visit marks PM Albanese’s first overseas trip following his re-election in the Australian federal election.
“PM Albanese, who has just been re-elected as Prime Minister of Australia, is scheduled to be inaugurated on May 13, 2025, and will immediately depart to begin his visit to Indonesia the following day, on the evening of May 14, 2025,” the statement on the official social media account of the Cabinet Secretariat reads.
The meeting between President Prabowo and PM Albanese is planned to take place at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, with a series of scheduled discussions. During this meeting, the two heads of state will address various priority issues, including enhancing Indonesia–Australia cooperation across multiple sectors.
Previously, on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya met with the Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, Roderick Bruce Brazier, at the Cabinet Secretariat Building in Jakarta to discuss PM Albanese’s visit agenda.
