President Prabowo to Meet Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn, PM Paetongtarn during Official Visit

President Prabowo Subianto, Saturday (05/17), arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, for an official visit.

The aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his limited entourage landed at Don Mueang Royal Thai Air Force Base at around 22.00 local time.

Upon arrival, President Prabowo was officially welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira, Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan, and Thai Ambassador to Indonesia Prapan Disyatat. Indonesian representatives, including Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand Rachmat Budiman and Defense Attaché Colonel Faisal Rahmat Hutagalung, were also present.

The President was also greeted with a guard of honor before entering his vehicle. Following the welcoming ceremony, President Prabowo headed directly to the hotel where he would stay during the visit.

During his visit, President Prabowo is slated to attend several key events, including an official audience with King Maha Vajiralongkorn and a formal welcome by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, followed by a bilateral meeting between delegations of both countries.

The visit aims to serve as a milestone in bolstering the strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Thailand across various sectors. Accompanying the President on the flight to Thailand were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (FI/MMB)
