President Prabowo Urges Young Officers to Uphold Integrity, Loyalty to the Nation

President Prabowo Subianto underscored that integrity and loyalty to the nation are the core values that must be upheld by Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri) officers. The President conveyed the message while leading the 2026 the Prasetya Perwira (Praspa) Inauguration Ceremony of the TNI and Polri for 2026 at the front courtyard of the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (07/22).

“There is no room for narrow loyalty on the corps. Integrity is an officer’s honor. Never abuse your authority,” the President asserted.

The Head of State emphasized that TNI and Polri are two influential institutions for the nation’s survival. The President highlighted the importance of maintaining the professionalism of both institutions in carrying out their duties to protect the nation and the state.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, TNI and Polri are two institutions that are vital to the survival of the state. They must be strong, professional, and stand together in safeguarding Indonesia,” he stated.

The Head of State also called on the newly inaugurated officers to continuously uphold their integrity and maintain the people’s trust. He reminded them that every officer must dedicate themselves to serving as protectors, guardians, and defenders of the people.

“The moment you betray the people; you lose your honor. Always remember that you were born from the people and educated with the people’s money. Everything you wear from head to toe comes from the people. Your food comes from the people. Your salary comes from the people. Always devote yourself to serving the people. Be their protectors, guardians, and defenders,” he asserted.

Therefore, the Head of State urged the young TNI and Polri officers to serve the nation with dedication and sincerity.

“To the TNI and Polri officers commissioned in 2026, today the Indonesian people entrust the future of the nation to your shoulders. Never betray that trust,” he remarked.

On the occasion, the Head of State also expressed his appreciation to the parents of the officers, acknowledging their great roles and sacrifices in raising the young officers as the nation’s successors.

“Thank you to all parents for entrusting your sons and daughters to the nation and its people. Behind every officer standing proudly today there are a mother’s prayers, a father’s steadfast support, and a family’s sacrifice.
