President Prabowo, Vice Speaker of Indonesian House of Representatives Discuss Economic Stability, Disaster Recovery in Sumatra

President Prabowo Subianto received the Vice Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), Prof. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (12/15). In a written statement released by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, it is stated that the meeting highlighted the developments of national economic conditions toward the end of the year.

President Prabowo and the Vice Speaker of DPR discussed the Government’s several strategic steps to firmly maintain national economic resilience amid ongoing domestic and global challenges. “During that meeting, [they] discussed developments of national economic stability toward the end of the year as well as the Government’s several strategic steps to maintain national economic resilience,” wrote Teddy.

In addition to economic issues, President Prabowo and the Vice Speaker of DPR also discussed disaster management and recovery efforts in several affected areas on the island of Sumatra. Their discussion focused on accelerating rehabilitation and ensuring effective and well-coordinated aid distribution for the affected communities.
