President Prabowo Visits Bhayangkara Exhibition, Highlights Security Industry Self-Reliance as Key to Sovereignty

Presiden Prabowo Subianto visited the Bhayangkara Exhibition, marking the 80th Bhayangkara Day at the Mobile Brigade Corps (Korbrimob) training field in Cikeas, Bogor regency, West Java province on Wednesday (07/01).
The exhibition features a wide range of products, equipment, and innovations designed to support law enforcement, with the vast majority being proudly developed at home.
Upon arriving at the exhibition, President Prabowo toured several booths, where he was briefed on various domestically manufactured products, ranging from uniforms and personal gear to operational equipment and supporting technologies.
The theme of this year’s exhibition “Self-Reliance towards Sovereignty” reflects the National Police’s commitment to increasing the use of domestic products and fostering a strong, sustainable, and increasingly self-sufficient national security industry ecosystem.
The President first toured the zone showcasing technology that converts fossil-fuel vehicles into electric vehicles. This technology is part of ongoing efforts toward more adaptive and sustainable innovations to support the National Police’s operational needs.
Afterward, the President visited the personal gear zone, which featured fire-resistant suits and anti-slip boots. He also observed various personal protective gear, including slash-resistant, arrow-proof, and anti-radiation suits.
The President was then briefed on several technological innovations and operational equipment, such as defensive barriers, command center systems, virtual reality technology, portable Wi-Fi, and firefighting drones. These innovations were displayed as part of efforts to enhance the National Police’s capability to respond to on-the-ground operational demands.
In addition, the exhibition also featured various operational vehicles and support assets, including heavy-duty cars, bulletproof tactical vehicles, fast patrol boats, and mobile field kitchens equipped with atmospheric water generator technology.
Through this exhibition, the National Police demonstrated its shift from reliance on import to self-sufficiency in procuring equipment and gear, transitioning from a consumer to a driver of the national industrial ecosystem. This step aligns with the President’s broader vision of fostering a developed, self-reliant, and sovereign Indonesia.
On the occasion, the President also viewed a presentation and video detailing the National Police’s support for national economic growth through its commitment to domestic goods. The National Police reaffirmed its dedication to prioritizing local products for its operational needs.
The President’s visit was a key highlight of the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration. This exhibition demonstrated the readiness and modernization of police equipment and illustrated the force’s contribution to strengthening domestic industry and national sovereignty.
After touring the indoor exhibition area, the President proceeded to the outdoor display of corn-farming machinery and equipment, showcasing support for the national food security program. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (FI/LW)
