President Prabowo Visits Langkat, Affirms Full Mobilization of State Resources

The Government remains directly present to ensure that the needs of disaster-affected residents are handled in a swift, appropriate, and measured manner, President Prabowo Subianto has said.
President Prabowo also stated that several shortcomings affecting residents had been reported and would be addressed immediately, while also underscoring the urgent need for clean and drinking water for affected communities.
“I come to assess the situation directly. The deficiencies have been reported to me, and we will address them immediately. Earlier, the Governor reported a shortage of clean water, particularly drinking water,” the President said in his statement during the inspection at MAN 1 Langkat state Islamic senior high school, Langkat regency, North Sumatra province, Saturday (12/13).
Regarding the acceleration of infrastructure repairs, particularly embankments, the President emphasized that these efforts are also intended as preventive measures to avoid similar disasters in the future.
The President underscored that all state resources are being mobilized to support such initiatives.
“We will immediately commence embankment repairs. Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) will deploy personnel, Ministry of Public Works will deploy personnel, also the Army and the Police will mobilize all available resources. Alhamdulillah, conditions in North Sumatra have improved since my last visit,” the President said.
Addressing the public, the President emphasized that the Government will continue to closely monitor developments in disaster management on an ongoing basis.
“I will continue to monitor progress from day to day and from week to week. Hopefully, with all our combined efforts, we can overcome this situation and assist everyone,” he said.
Furthermore, the President reiterated that the affected communities are part of the greater Indonesian family.
On that occasion, the Head of State expressed his appreciation to all officers and volunteers who have been involved in disaster management efforts across the Sumatran region.
“I believe that is all I wish to convey. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone, all officers and all volunteers who have worked tirelessly.
