President Prabowo Subianto received a warm and enthusiastic welcome during his state visit in Türkiye. The Turkish Government and Indonesian citizens living in the country welcomed the President, showing the tight emotional and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

A special moment occurred when Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, welcomed President Prabowo in person at the Esenboğa International Airport, Wednesday (4/9) evening. The presence of President Erdoğan as the host showed the high respect for state guests and emphasized the personal closeness between the two leaders.

Meanwhile, a festive atmosphere prevailed during President Prabowo’s journey to the city center. Several large videotrons on Ankara’s main roads displayed the greeting “Welcome to Türkiye” in two languages, namely Turkish and Indonesian. The images of President Prabowo Subianto and President Erdoğan were also displayed on the screens, symbolizing the strong relations between Indonesia and Türkiye.

Upon arrival at the hotel where he stayed during the visit, President Prabowo also received a warm welcome from the Indonesian people living in Türkiye. With great enthusiasm, they greeted President Prabowo while carrying the ‘red and white’ flag and smiling proudly at the arrival of their country’s leader.

President Prabowo gave a warm response as well. He shook hands and talked with the Indonesian people who had been waiting for his arrival, creating a friendly and familial atmosphere.

The excitement of this welcome was a joyful start to the series of state visits by President Prabowo in Türkiye.
