President Prabowo Welcomes PM Modi in Yogyakarta

President Prabowo Subianto welcomes Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Yogyakarta International Airport in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, on Wednesday (07/08).
President Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday (07/08), arrived at Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. He was scheduled to welcome Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and visit the Prambanan Temple compounds together with the PM.
Upon arrival at the airport, President Prabowo was welcomed by local government officials, then proceeded to the welcoming area and waited for the arrival of his Indian counterpart.
Not long afterward, PM Modi arrived and was directly welcomed by President Prabowo. The two leaders shook hands and exchanged warm greetings before continuing their joint agenda in Yogyakarta.
From Yogyakarta International Airport, President Prabowo and PM Modi boarded a helicopter together and headed to Adisucipto Air Force Base in Sleman regency. Upon arrival at the base, they continued on to the Prambanan Temple Compounds, where their agenda would take place.
The two leaders are set to inspect several areas within the Prambanan Temple Compounds and unveil the plaque for Indonesia–India collaborative cultural heritage conservation for Prambanan Temple. The agenda symbolizes strengthened cultural cooperation between the two countries with centuries-old historical ties.
The visit to Prambanan Temple, part of PM Modi’s state visit to Indonesia, signifies that Indonesia and India not only strengthen their bilateral relations in political, economic, and strategic sectors but also underscore the importance of cultural cooperation.
