President-Vice President Fast Breaking with Thousands of Orphans

President Jokowi and Vice President Jusuf Kalla breaking fast together with 3,500 orphans, at Jakarta Convention Center, Thursday (3/7), organized by Association of the State Banks (Himbara).

“We are gathered here, to stay in touch here organized by the state-owned banks, among others BRI Bank, BNI, Mandiri Bank, BTN Bank,” the President said.

President accompanied by First Lady Iriana Jokowi and Vice President Jusuf Kalla accompanied Mrs. Mufidah.

Breaking fast together (Iftar) is filled with Tauziah presented by Ustad Othman Omar Shihab.

Giving Bikes

On this occasion, President Jokowi distribute prizes of bicycles to orphans.

“Tell me the five names of our prophet,” the president said Jokowi to one of the children that had been appointed before handing the bike prize.

In addition to asking the name of the prophet, President Jokowi also asked, among others, the names of fish, Pancasila and the five obligatory prayers.

After iftar, the President, the Vice President, and the entourage perform of Maghrib prayers in congregation with thousands of orphans.

A number of banks that included in Himbara are BRI Bank, Mandiri Bank, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and the State Savings Bank (BTN).

Himbara invited thousands of orphans through 70 foundations in Jabodetabek.

Besides breaking fast together, Himbara also provides assistance in the form of a means of supporting education, sports facilities with a total value of 200 million.

Aside from Wapes Jusuf Kalla, seemed present a number of officials, among others, the Governor of Bank Indonesia Agus Martowardojo and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners FSA Muliaman Hadad and Himbara Banks Board of Directors.. (Humas/ES)
