Presidential Decree 113/P/2019 Stipulates Cabinet Ministers Appointment

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on 23 October, 2019 signed the Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 113/P/2019 on the Establishment of the Government Ministries and the Appointment of Cabinet Ministers of “Indonesia Onward Cabinet” for the 2019-2024 Period.

The Cabinet appointment aims to support the tasks of the President as head of the Government to achieve national goals.

The FIRST dictum of the Presidential Decree states that the Government establishes the following Government Ministries for 2019-2024 period: 1. Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs; 2. Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs; 3. Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture; 4. Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment;

5. Ministry of State Secretariat; 6. Ministry of Home Affairs; 7. Ministry of Foreign Affairs; 8. Ministry of Defense; 9. Ministry of Religious Affairs; 10. Ministry of Law and Human Rights; 11. Ministry of Finance; 12. Ministry of Education and Culture; 13. Ministry of Health; 14. Ministry of Social Affairs; 15. Ministry of Manpower; 16. Ministry of Industry; 17. Ministry of Trade; 18. Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources;19. Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing; 20. Ministry of Transportation; 21. Ministry of Communication and Informatics;

22. Ministry of Agriculture; 23. Ministry of the Environment and Forestry; 24. Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries; 25. Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration; 26. Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency; 27. Ministry of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning Agency; 28. Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms; 29. Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises;

30. Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises; 31. Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy; 32. Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection; 33. Ministry of Research and Technology (Head of National Research and Innovation Agency); 34. Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The SECOND dictum of the Decree stipulates the appointment of the following Cabinet Ministers:

3. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture: Muhadjir Effendy

6. Minister of Home Affairs: General Tito Karnavian
7. Minister of Foreign Affairs: Retno L.P. Marsudi
