Presidential Office Personnel Pledge Allegiance to Pancasila in Pancasila Sanctity Day Ceremony
The personnel of presidential offices, including the Cabinet Secretariat, took part in the commemoration ceremony of Pancasila Sanctity Day at the parking lot of the Ministry of State Secretariat in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/01). The ceremony was led by Deputy for Human Development Policy and Equal Development at the Vice Presidential Secretariat Suprayoga Hadi who acted as the ceremony inspector.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence in remembrance of the service of fallen heroes, followed by the recitation of Pancasila led by the ceremony inspector, the recitation of the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution, and the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to Pancasila.
The Pledge of Allegiance reads as follows.
By the grace of God Almighty, we, who are participating in this ceremony, fully realize
that since the Proclamation of Independence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 1945, there have been numerous threats, both from within and outside the country, against the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia;
that these threats have been made possible due to the negligence and lack of vigilance of the Indonesian people towards activities aiming to overthrow Pancasila as the state ideology;
that with the spirit of togetherness, grounded in the noble values of Pancasila ideology, the Indonesian people have been able to strengthen the unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Therefore, before God Almighty, in commemorating Pancasila Sanctity Day, we resolve to continue upholding and practicing the values of Pancasila as a source of strength to foster unity in striving for and upholding truth and justice for the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
