The construction of Nusantara Capital (IKN), especially the presidential palace, goes according to plan, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said.

The President made the statement after inspecting the making of strips of Garuda wings for the presidential palace in Nusantara Capital at the Silhouette Workshop of sculptor Nyoman Nuarta, who was appointed to design the new capital, at NuArt Sculpture Park in West Bandung regency, West Java province, Wednesday (07/12).

“I came to Mr. Nyoman Nuarta’s factory to ensure that the construction of Nusantara Capital, especially the presidential palace, is carried out right on schedule. I checked everything and God willing, it goes on well according to the schedule and target we have set,” he said in his press statement.

The President pointed out that the inspection was done to see firsthand several processes of making strips from brass, including the welding, lasering, and coloring.

The President also stated that he has no plan of visiting Nusantara Capital again in the near future, adding that he will ensure that his administration continues inspecting and reporting the construction progress of the new capital.

“Ministers go there every day. The Head of Nusantara Capital Authority is also there and he always gives reports to me,” he remarked. (BPMI SETPRES) (DH/MMB)
