Today, September 26, 2025, President Prabowo Subianto has concluded a series of foreign visits, particularly the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Over the past six days, he has visited four countries. The first was Japan. During a brief transit there, he visited the Indonesian Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025. According to the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), investment commitments totaling US$23.8 billion, or approximately Rp380 trillion have been secured from the five-yearly event. That’s a huge investment.

The second visit was in the United States. At the 80th UNGA, Indonesia had the honor of being the third speaker. The first and second speakers are the same each year. President Prabowo spoke before 193 UN member states. The entire world witnessed him. You can see that many world leaders, such as the President of the United States welcomed and were impressed by his speech. It was bold, decisive, and concrete. This morning, President Macron called him directly to express his appreciation and pride in the President’s speech. This shows how many world leaders get impressed, are proud of, and respect the President’s speech, especially us as Indonesians.

Then, in New York, FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited him. We know that the Indonesian Government and FIFA are committed to supporting youth football academies in Indonesia. In the near future, on October 9 and 12, if I’m not mistaken, the Indonesian national team will compete in the fourth World Cup qualifier. It won’t be easy, but it’s not impossible for Indonesia to qualify for the World Cup. We hope that those matches go according to plan and are conducive.

Thirdly, the President stopped by briefly in Canada. There was one benefit from yesterday’s visit to Canada, namely the signing of the Indonesia-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (ICA-CEPA). The point of the agreement is that Canada will remove 90.5 percent of tariffs on Indonesian goods and products. This will certainly have a very positive impact on trade in Indonesia.

Then, the President was recently received by King Willem of the Netherlands and Queen Maxima. The King is the Head of State, the highest leader in the Netherlands. This is certainly very good for the relations between the two countries. It was also agreed that the Dutch Government will return 30,000 fossils, artifacts, and cultural documents belonging to Indonesia stored here. It will soon be carried out. Perhaps tomorrow the Minister of Culture will finalize it and those will be returned to Indonesia. This repatriation process has actually been ongoing for a long time, but Alhamdulilah, it has been successfully agreed upon and they will be returned to Indonesia.

That concludes my statement.

Thank you all.

See you in Jakarta.
