Her Excellency President Park Geun-hye,
It is an honor for me to fulfill the invitation of Her Excellency President Park to undertake a working visit to Seoul, South Korea.
Republic of Korea is a strategic and important partner in the region and is also Indonesias major partner in Asia.
Cooperation on economic sectors and industries are intensive between the two countries. Trade and investments (volumes) between the two countries also show a very significant figure.
We have just discussed investment in Indonesia and Republic of Korea puts a great interest in making investment in infrastructure projects in Indonesia such as toll roads, seaports, railways, power plants as well as maritime infrastructures.
During our bilateral talk, Indonesia also wants to focus on cooperation (with Republic of Korea) to accelerate industrialization in Indonesia as well as to develop creative industries. Creative industries that we aim to develop are fashion, cinemas, and broadcasting.
Republic of Indonesia and Republic of Korea have also agreed to have high-level strategic dialogs on a regular basis.
The Indonesian Government has also asked the Government of the Republic of Korea to give ease for Indonesias fruit export to the Republic of Korea.
Furthermore, we also agree that security and stability in the region, including in the Korean Peninsula, cannot be compromised. Indonesia has also urged North Korea to obey all the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
President Park and I also share the same view of the importance to promote international cooperation in the fight against terrorism, especially pertaining to exchanges of intelligent information and finding the roots of the problem.
Last but not least, allow me to invite Her Excellency President Park to pay a visit to Indonesia.
