No, it’s been two weeks since I did any sports so I just wanted to play sports with the village kids in Biak regency. And, well, all the sweat came out, but it’s really tiring. Managed to score one goal, not bad.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo):

Yes, indeed, the talent needs to be developed from the grassroots, from an early age. Then there should be a football academy for children and teenagers so they can progress to U14, U17, U20, and so on. I believe development must start from the foundation, from the bottom, to improve skills, enhance physical fitness to endure playing for two rounds, and maybe more. Good physical fitness is essential for playing football.

Sir, do you have any motivational message for the young people here?

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo):

Well, playing football earlier was to motivate those kids with good skills, to encourage and motivate them properly. That’s the direction I’m aiming for. Yes, thank you.
