Press Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia during the Inspection of Toroh 1 Community Health Center (Puskesmas), in Grobogan Regency, Central Java Province, January 23, 2024

Today, I came to Toroh 1 Puskesmas in Grobogan regency, Central Java province, to ensure that the puskesmas has pregnancy ultrasound device for pregnant women. I have checked it, the system is good, the device is available and it has been distributed to 10 thousand puskesmas throughout the country. So, 10 thousand puskesmas throughout the country have owned the ultrasound device. We hope that all puskesmas have pregnancy ultrasound device for pregnant women, so the baby’s development can be checked earlier, and all the data will be sent to the data center in Jakarta. This is very important to prevent stunting.

Also, the distribution of scales, scales for babies that we distributed to integrated healthcare centers (posyandu). We have provided 300,000 scales. They are given to the posyandu that does not have them yet. Now they all have scales, so they can check the baby’s weight, length, and so on. I think we should continue to improve such early handling.
