Regarding the meeting with the Governors yesterday (03/02), what can you tell us, Pak?

Yes, yesterday I met with Governor of Jakarta, Governor of Special Region of Yogyakarta, Governor of West Java, Governor of Central Java, and Governor of Bali so we can make effective restrictions on community activities. I also mentioned about the importance of two things that we lacked yesterday on the ground. This means that we aim to strengthen existing activities on the ground.

So, I highlighted the importance of restrictions on community activities at the micro level, at the village level, at the community unit (RW) level, at the neighboring unit (RT) level. That’s the key. That’s what we must implement on the ground.

Then, second, equally important from the Government side is to boost testing, tracing, and treatment (3T)measures. This means that if someone has tested positive for COVID-19, they will be immediately tracked down. At least 30 people who have contacted with the person should be traced. And then, they must be isolated immediately. I put emphasis on it.

So we aim to boost its implementation on the ground and to strengthen 3T measures.

But also don’t forget to remind the public about 3M: wearing a face mask, washing hands, maintaining a safe distance. I think that’s the point of the meeting with the five Governors yesterday.

Regarding vaccination in the regions for the present?

Yes, it is running well. Yet, it is still being conducted at hospitals, in community health centers. Later, we will also conduct the mass vaccination just as what has been done today at Gelora Senayan; thereby, speeding up the vaccination process.
