Public Bazaar at Monas Delivers Direct Assistance to Residents Through Vouches and Free Meals

The atmosphere of public bazaar at the National Monument, Central Jakarta, Saturday (03/28).

Public enthusiasm was high during the public bazaar held at the National Monument (Monas) area in Central Jakarta on Saturday (03/28).

The program, initiated on the instruction of President Prabowo Subianto, provided concrete assistance to the public through the distribution of 100,000 shopping vouchers worth Rp500,000 each and 300,000 free meal portions served by around 800 street vendors and small businesses.

One attendee, Ine Sugesti, expressed her gratitude after receiving one of the shopping vouchers.

“Alhamdulillah, this voucher means a lot to me because there are so many needs after Eid that are hard to cope with, and this voucher really helps,” she said, adding that recipient data were collected through local subdistrict offices based on the Central Government data.

She and other residents traveled to the venue using public transportation arranged by the subdistrict office.

The same sentiment was shared by two other residents Siti Nuryati and Novia, who said they were greatly helped by the program, especially in meeting basic needs after Eid al-Fitr.

“We are very happy to receive vouchers today, especially for basic groceries. Coincidentally, after Eid, our staples supplies at home have run out,” Siti said.

Meanwhile, another resident, Rahmawati, said she received various basic necessities such as rice, eggs, chicken, cooking oil, and sugar for free.

“Alhamdulillah, it was all free,” she said.

Another resident, Sanrani, also her expressed gratitude for the assistance she received.

“I would like to thank Mr. President for this event, and I hope he will be willing to hold more events like this in the future,” Sanrani said.

Amid the lingering warmth of the Eid atmosphere, the public bazaar at Monas stood as clear proof that the presence of the state can be felt directly by the people, not only through policy but also through a tangible, compassionate touch. (Presidential Secretariat/BPMI) (GWH/EP)
