Pudjoharsoyo to be Supreme Court Secretary
President Joko Jokowi Widodo has appointed former Head of West Jakarta District Court Achmad Setyo Pudjoharsoyo, as the Secretary of the Supreme Court, eliminating two other candidates Aco Nur and Imron Rosyadi.
Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung explained that Pudjo was elected the Secretary of the Supreme Court through a mechanism of Final Assessment Team (TPA) led by President Jokowi and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, and it was attended by the Supreme Court Chief Justice.
In that mechanism, 3 candidates were proposed. From those three, Pudjo has the least liability. Therefore, considering the candidates capabilities as well as recommendation from Supreme Court that is based on Civil Servants Apparatus (ASN) mechanism, the President and the Vice President gave their decision, Pramono said.
Regarding Pudjos track record, who found oil mafia Niwen Khairiah, the owner of a suspicious bank account with funds amounting up to Rp1.3 trillion, not guilty, Pramono asserted that Pudjo is better compared to the other candidates. The others have several notes, Pramono added.
Pramono also said there is no problem with the fact that Pudjo submitted his last Official Wealth Report (LHKPN) in 2009. The important thing is that Pudjos wealth is already checked by Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).
For the record, Pudjoharsoyo, who just took pledge as Judge of Tanjungkarang Provincial Court, Lampung, on Friday (3/2), will take pledge as Secretary of the Supreme Court and inaugurated by Supreme Court Chief Justice tomorrow (7/2) at 10.00 a.m. (FID/ES) (RAS/MMB/YM/Naster)
