President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received a visit from the Deputy Prime Minister (Prime Minister) People’s Republic of China (PRC) Liu Yandong and former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda separately, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (27/5) afternoon.

Minister of State Secretary, Pratikno explained that the meeting between President Jokowi, with Deputy Prime Minister PRC, Liu Yandong to discuss the continuation of the investment plan PRC to Indonesia.

“The president asks the implementation of projects should be fast, there must be acceleration of PRC investment projects,” Pratikno said at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, after accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received a visit from the Deputy Prime Minister of PRC, Liu Yandong.

“Deputy Prime Minister, Liu wanted a broader cooperation in the field of education, cooperation in the forums of Rector. Actually, this agreement has been a long time, and then wait for its implementation,” Pratikno said.

Meanwhile the former Japanese Prime Minister, Yasuo Fukuda, who is also the President of Japan Indonesia Association, came together with the executives of renowned companies driving the Japanese business world.

According to a press release from the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta, the meeting discussed about the expansion of Japanese investment in Indonesia that export oriented, infrastructure development cooperation, cooperation in human resource development, and cultural exchange.

Some business leaders who attended at the meeting came from renowned companies such as Toshiba Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Panasonic Corporation, Daihatsu Motor Corporation, and Mitsubishi Corporation.

While President Jokowi in the meeting accompanied by the Coordinating Minister for Economy Sofyan Djalil, Pratikno Minister of State Secretary, Cabinet Secretary Andi WidjajantoMinistry of Trade Rahmat Gobel, Minister of Industry Saleh Husin, Deputy Foreign Minister AM Fachri, and Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Yusron Ihza Mahendra.
