Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good afternoon,

Peace and prosperity be upon us all.

Honorable Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Minister of State Secretary,

Honorable Member of Commission V of House of Representatives Mr. Mulyadi,

Honorable Governor of West Java, Regent of Kuningan,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Alhamdulillah, Kuningan Dam in West Java Province, which was built for seven years at a cost of Rp513 billion, has been completed and is ready to operate with a capacity of 25.9 million cubic meters.

The dam will continuously irrigate 3,000 hectares of community rice fields in Kuningan, Cirebon, and Brebes regencies.

If we can maintain water supply to irrigate rice fields, farmers can increase planting frequency from once a year to two or three times a year. Thus, it will increase farmers’ productivity and welfare.

The dam will also be beneficial in supporting flood control and in providing raw water services of 0.30 cubic meters per second, as well as has the potential to generate 0.5 megawatts of electricity.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I order (related parties) to connect the dam to the existing irrigation network—starting from the primary, secondary, tertiary, to the quarter channels. It is important so we can optimize the benefits of water provision for farmers.

I hope the dam can provide added value to Kuningan regency, not only to boost agricultural productivity but also to facilitate the provision of clean water that is beneficial to the public interests.

This concludes my remarks.

And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby inaugurate Kuningan dam in Kuningan regency, West Java province.

I thank you.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. (GH/EP)
