Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia after Inaugurating Kretek 2 Bridge in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, June 2, 2023

This is part of the southern line from Banten to Banyuwangi in East Java province that will be shortly completed this year. The 14 kilometer unfinished project in Yogyakarta Special Region province, and 24 kilometer project in East Java province will be completed with this level of quality.

We hope that the southern line will improve infrastructure for logistics, as well as accelerate mobility of people and goods. We hope that the products produced in the southern part of Java can access the market with higher level of competitiveness. That is our goal.
