Distinguished Minister of State Secretary, Minister of State-owned Enterprises, Commander of the Indonesia Defense Forces, Chief of the Indonesia National Police, Governor of East Kalimantan, Regent of West Kutai,

Distinguished all traditional and religious leaders;

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am very pleased to be here in the land of Tanaa Purai Ngeriman (a fertile land with abundant blessings) and to attend the Dangai Ehau (Dahau) Festival. This is the most eagerly awaited festival by the community in West Kutai regency held to commemorate the 24th Anniversary of West Kutai regency. Happy 24th Anniversary of West Kutai regency.

We all know that our country has great diversity. We have 714 different local tribes. To that end, preserving and promoting local culture, boosting the creative industry in the region is our duty. Through cultural festivals, we can learn about the richness of our traditions and cultural values, tolerance, and harmony that have been inherited by our ancestors.

And I also noticed that the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) can be concretely implemented in this region. I noticed that all of you live in harmony, don’t you? All of you always uphold the spirit of solidarity, don’t you?

Now, who can remember the five principles of Pancasila. Please, raise your hand. Please, come to front and introduce yourself.

Good job. Take your bikes and bring them home. They are not ordinary bikes as you can see my name printed on them. You can read it, “A bike from President Jokowi.” It is expensive. You can bring them home now.

Once again, I am very pleased to see the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) here. And Indonesia is a big country that has various tribes, religions, and cultures. In West Kuta regency, there is Dayak Bahau community, Dayak Aoheng community, Dayak Tunjung community, Dayak Kenyah community, Dayak Benuaq community, and Melayu community that have diverse traditions but still happily live in harmony and respect each other.

I also would like to express my gratitude to everyone in West Kutai regency, especially Dayak communities, for conferring me with an honorary title and for supporting the development of our new capital, the city of the future.

That concludes my speech on this auspicious occasion.
I thank you.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
