Good morning everyone.

First of all, I’d like to extend a big thanks to the CEOs, the Chairpersons; CEO of POSCO Mr. Kim Hag-dong, Vice Chairman/Co-CEO of Lotte Chemical Corporation Mr. Kim Gyo-hyun, Vice Chairman/Co-CEO of LG Corp Mr. Brian Kwon, Chairman of CJ Group Mr. Sohn Kyung-Sik, Chairman of KCC Glass Corp Mr. Mong-ik Chung, Chairman of LS Group Mr. Koo Ja-Eun, CEO of LX Holdings Corp, Chairman of Taekwang Mr. Park Joo-hwan, Vice Chairman/CEO of GS E&C Mr. Lim Byeong-yong, and CEO of Samsung Electronics Mr. Roh Tae-moon.

Once again, thank you very much for investing in Indonesia. I noticed that South Korea’s investment trend has shown a significant increase. Now, South Korea is the sixth largest investor in Indonesia. This is an excellent achievement. We hope that South Korea can enter the top three investors in Indonesia.

Previously, both Minister of Investment and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment has conveyed that the Indonesia’s economy remains in good performance. Our economic growth in the Q1 grew by 5.01 percent, while inflation could still be maintained at 4.3 percent. Indonesia’s trade surplus in the first half of this year reached US$24.8 billion, which was a big leap from us because of the support from all of you, especially those with export orientation.

Once again, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude for the support that has been given so far. I did not find any serious complaints that might happen on the ground.

However, should you find any problems, please contact Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia or the Coordinating Minister. If the two ministers got a dead end, you can contact me related to investment permits, immigration, and other things. We have simplified all overlapping regulations through Omnibus Law on Job Creation (UU Cipta Kerja). This is a structural reform carried out by Indonesia in order to provide maximum investment opportunities.

That concludes my remarks on this auspicious occasion. Let’s step up to build an improved economy between South Korea and Indonesia.

Once again, if you have any issues on the ground, please kindly let me know.
