Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at #PrayFromHome: From Home for Indonesia Event, 11 July 2021, Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java Province
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Peace be upon us all.
Greetings of Virtue.
My fellow Indonesians,
Indonesian people and people from around the world are still in the midst of the struggle to be free from the COVID-19 pandemic. Virus transmission still continues to occur. The Government cannot overcome this problem alone. Everyone must collaborate, cooperate, help each other, work together to overcome this very heavy test.
I would like to thank all elements of the nation that are loyal in building optimism and the spirit of togetherness through various social volunteer and economic movements to ease the burden of the people.
I am very grateful that religious mass organizations are in harmony to maintain the people’s obedience in observing health protocols. The Government’s hard work in tackling COVID-19 will not be successful without support, awareness, and participation of the people.
In tackling this difficult situation, aside from many practical actions, we must also perform spiritual actions. Send prayers, beg for God’s help to ease our burden so that the people, the nation, and the country, as well as the world can soon be freed from the pandemic.
On this occasion, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Government and the country, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to all those who have passed due to the pandemic. Let us pray for all of them. May God the All-Merciful and All-Gracious grant them grace and mercy. Let us also pray for our brothers and sisters who are exposed to COVID-19 that they recover soon.
From our own home, let us bow down our head, observe a moment of silence, pray from home. Let us send prayers and take actions so that this pandemic will end soon. Convince our family and inner circles to carry out activities at home.
Overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic is our national endeavor today as the purpose is to save our lives and for our own good.
May God protect Indonesia and make this country safe, advanced, and prosperous.
Aamiin ya rabbal’alamin.
I thank you.
