Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Conferment of the Honorary Decorations of Bintang Yudha Dharma Pratama and Samkaryanugraha during the Presidential Inspection at the Military Sealift Command Headquarters, North Jakarta, Thursday, October 2, 2025

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good afternoon,

May peace be upon us all,

Om swastiastu,

Namo Buddhaya,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today, I confer medals to officers who have served with distinction and given their best dedication throughout their careers. Several officers will receive special promotions even though they are already retired as a recognition of their contributions to the country and the nation.

All of these senior officers continue demonstrate that, even after retirement, their dedication and service to the honor and sovereignty of the Indonesian nation remain strong.

Throughout their military service, they performed exceptionally, often beyond the call of duty. I am honored today to bestow this recognition upon them, as well as to recognize the military units that have also contributed their services commendably.

That concludes my statement to the unit commanders who have received the Samkaryanugraha award, which is a distinction bestowed by the Head of State who is also the Supreme Commander of the National Defense Forces.

As such, it is an honor that must be upheld with the utmost integrity by your respective units.

Earlier, I have conferred decorations upon three commanders as a formal acknowledgment of their outstanding achievements and devoted service.

That concludes my remarks.

Do safeguard the honor of our nation and state. Always put service to the country and the people above everything. Never betray Indonesia, its people, or its sovereignty.
