Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Abdi Waluyo Nusantara Hospital in Nusantara Capital, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, September 22, 2023

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good morning,

May peace be upon us all,

Distinguished Ministers, Governors, and Regents,

Distinguished President Director of Abdi Waluyo Hospital Doctor Sigit Pramono and all members of the management,

Ladies and Gentlemen, distinguished guests,

Thank God, this morning we will start the groundbreaking ceremony of the first hospital in Nusantara Capital. We carried out the groundbreaking for a hotel yesterday and the PSSI training center this morning. Now, we will conduct one for Abdi Waluyo Nusantara Hospital.

This hospital is essential and I am pleased that there is an investment of Rp2 trillion and there will be around 400 rooms. I am glad that, as Doctor Sigit said, [the hospital] will cater for subspecialty care, so it is not a general hospital but a subspecialty one. We hope that it can attract people not only in Nusantara Capital but also from all over Indonesia and even the world. That is our hope.

And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I officially inaugurate the construction of Abdi Waluyo Nusantara Hospital this morning.
