Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of Pamulang-Cinere-Raya Bogor Toll Road, Depok City, West Java Province, January 8, 2024

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Good morning,
May peace be upon us.
Distinguished Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet, particularly Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Minister of Transportation, and Minister of Trade who are with me now;
Distinguished TNI Commander and National Police Chief;
Distinguished Governor of West Java, Mayor of Depok, Mayor of South Tangerang;
Distinguished Speaker of Commission V of the House of Representatives;
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Thank God, this morning we [will] inaugurate the Pamulang-Cinere-Raya Bogor toll road with a total length of 14.8 kilometers and a total investment of Rp4 trillion. The toll road will complement the existing toll road network structure in the Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi/Jabodetabek) area which includes the Jakarta Inner Ring Road, the Jakarta Outer Ring Road 1 (JORR I), and the Jakarta Outer Ring Road 2 (JORR II). And, this toll road that we [will]inaugurate is a part of JORR II whose completion still needs only a few kilometers. I asked the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing earlier and I got the answer that it will be completed in the second quarter of this year.
The toll road is expected to provide more alternative roads for the community, especially to the residents of Cibubur, Bogor, and Tangerang, to reach places such as Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and others without entering Jakarta inner toll road. This will facilitate the mobility of people, goods, and logistics and we hope it will reduce congestion and people will have a choice and an alternative by using a more spacious road.
That concludes my speech on this auspicious occasion.
