Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of Pasar Rumput Low-Cost Apartment, Kiosks, and Facilities, 20 September 2021, at the Pasar Rumput Low-Cost Apartment, DKI Jakarta Province
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Good morning,
Peace and prosperity be upon us all.

Honorable Governor of DKI Jakarta;
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Thank God, the Pasar Rumput low-cost apartment equipped with market stalls, public and social facilities, and parking lots, having been built since 2016, is now completed and ready to be utilized. The low-cost apartment was built with a budget of Rp970 billion. It is special because it carries the concept of mixed-use development. It does not only have a low-cost apartment functioned as residential units in the form of 1,984 type-36 units on floors 4-25, but the apartment is built with hundreds of market stalls on the 1st and 2nd floors. It is also equipped with complete public and social facilities.
The existence of a market with complete social and public facilities makes it easy for residents to carry out economic activities, such as trading and others.
This apartment is also special because it is supported by excellent public transportation routes. such as integration with busway and east-south interconnection to Dukuh Atas, making it easier for residents to mobile.
I hope that the low-cost apartment can ease the burden on the community, through the provision of decent and comfortable housing with a strategic location to carry out economic activities.
I am also glad to hear that this apartment will also be able to accommodate people from the Ciliwung river side who are affected by the river normalization program for flood management.
Hopefully, the existence of the apartment can ease the burden on the community, especially with regard to providing comfortable and affordable housing, and helping to facilitate the productive activities of our community.
This concludes my remarks. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I inaugurate the Pasar Rumput low-cost apartment as well as its stalls and facilities.
