Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of Regional Roads as the Implementation of the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads (IJD), Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, Tuesday, October 15, 2024

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

Roads [and] bridges are necessary for connectivity between regencies, cities, and provinces, both for the mobility of people and goods.

Damaged roads would hamper the mobility of logistics, meaning that they will also affect the prices at the market.

Therefore, in 2023, we issued the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads for the purpose of building and repairing damaged roads and bridges.

And today, we are inaugurating 24 road sections stretching 196 kilometers and also a bridge measuring 60 meters long.

It costs Rp686 billion, specifically in Aceh province, spreading across 14 regencies, including East Aceh, Bireuen, Simeulue, Aceh Besar, Pidie, Pidie Jaya, Langsa, North Aceh, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Jaya, Southwest Aceh, Nagan Raya, Gayo Lues, and Bener Meriah.

We hope that through the construction and repair of these roads, the mobility of people and goods, as well as the speed of logistics distribution in Aceh province will improve.

And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby inaugurate the implementation project of the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads in Aceh province.
