Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of Sepaku Semoi Dam at North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, June 4, 2024

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Good afternoon,

May peace be upon us all.

Distinguished Coordinating Ministers, Ministers, Vice Ministers, TNI Commander, Governor of East Kalimantan province, Regent of North Penajam Paser;

Ladies and Gentlemen,

My beloved children, good afternoon.

 Alhamdulillah, I inaugurated Sepaku Semoi dam this afternoon, which construction began in 2020 and will be completed in 2024, spending Rp836 billion. It will have a capacity of 16 million cubic meters and an inundation area of ​​322 hectares. It will be a source of raw drinking water in the Nusantara Capital (IKN) and some parts of Balikpapan city.

That concludes my speech on this auspicious occasion.

By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby inaugurate Sepaku Semoi Dam in North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.
