Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of Tajum Margasana Bridge, Karangbawang Bridge, and Jurug B Surakarta Karanganyar Bridge at Tajum Margasana Bridge, Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province, January 2, 2024

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Good afternoon, may peace be upon us all.

Distinguished Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Minister of Transportation;
Distinguished Head of Commission V of the House of Representatives (DPR);
Distinguished Acting Governor of Central Java, Regent of Banyumas;

Ladies and Gentlemen.

In Java island, there are 37 callender-hamilton bridges that have to be replaced considering that the service life is more than 40 years. And today, the Government will inaugurate three bridges in Central Java province, including Tajum Margasana bridge in Banyumas regency with a budget allocation of Rp72 billion; Karangbawang bridge, also in Banyumas regency, with a budget allocation of Rp89 miliar; and Jurug B bridge between Solo-Karanganyar with a budget allocation of Rp90 billion.

[The Government] will repair, will revitalize brigdes that require improvements considering that loads on bridges due to transportation and logistics activities continue to increase.

It is our hope that the newly inaugurated bridges can enhance the safety and velocity of people and goods mobility.

That concludes my speech on this auspicious occasion. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby inaugurate Tajum Margasana bridge in Banyumas regency, Karangbawang bridge in Banyumas regency, and Jurug B bridge in Solo-Karanganyar.
