Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of the Implementation of Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads in Gorontalo Province, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province, April 22, 2024

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamu ’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.

Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen.

We know how important roads are, especially those related to production. This region produces coconut and corn, but if it has no roads, how will such products be distributed?

Therefore, roads are very essential to increase productivity in an area. For this year, Gorontalo province has received funds amounting to Rp161 billion allocated for the construction of five roads with a total length of 46 kilometers crossing three regencies, namely Boalemo regency, Gorontalo regency and North Gorontalo regency.

As we can now see here, this is one of the sections being worked on, so that once again, [once the roads are completed,] the production yields will be more competitive because they can be [immediately] delivered to their destinations.

And, by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this morning I inaugurate the implementation of the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads in Gorontalo Province.
