Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Distinguished Minister of Youth and Sports and ministers in attendance,

Distinguished Head of the National Olympic Committee (KOI), Head of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI), and Chef de Mission as well as athletes, officials,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today we will soon send off the 31st SEA Games contingent to Vietnam. I want the current contingent, which is leaner, as Minister of Youth and Sports said—but we, all Indonesian people want this contingent to make the best achievements, to bag as many medals as possible, to enhance the reputation of our country, our nation Indonesia.

I remember in the previous SEA Games, in Singapore 2015, we were at the fifth place, then in Malaysia, we were still at the fifth place, and in 2019 in the Philippines, we ranked fourth. This time, we all want us to be at the third, second, or the first place in the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam.

It is indeed not easy, but I heard that the selection was carried out well and we hope that we can achieve it.

That concludes my statement. And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I send off the contingent for the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam today.

I thank you.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Salam Olahraga (Greeting of sports)!
