Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Opening of ‘Inacraft on October 2023’, at the Assembly Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, October 4, 2023
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Peace and prosperity be upon us.
Distinguished Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet,
Your Excellencies, Ambassadors of Friendly Countries,
Acting Governor of Jakarta and Governors in attendance,
ASEPHI (Association of Exporters and Producers of Indonesian Handicraft) Chairperson Mr. Muchsin Ridjan and ASEPHI senior Mr. Abdul Latief,
OASE (Solidarity Act Organization) members and the Chairpersons of Dekranasda (Regional Crafts Councils), the participants of the exhibition,
Ladies and gentlemen.
I find that from year to year the Inacraft exhibition is getting better and more exciting, because we all know its brand, as one of the largest handicraft product exhibitions in Southeast Asia, which consistently showcases the best creations. And, these creations are all curated, all of them are strictly and selectively chosen.
And, I briefly observed this year’s Inacraft, it is indeed a bit different. The ambience looks different. The showcase and products are better. And, most importantly, I see a lot of participants, because there are 18,700 square meters that are divided into 772 booths. That is a lot of booths. It means that all booths are fully occupied. Due to that fact, we hope that there will be more visitors; there will also be more buyers. And, we hope that the turnover will also be better and bigger.
It was also mentioned by Mr. Muchsin that this exhibition now provides a special platform for young people, youthpreneurs, and young artisans, with Gen Z as the target segment, to display their creative works. This is a good initiative as the creative potential of our youth is huge. And, with the participation of the youth, I am getting more confident that this country will improve even more.
And, by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby officially open the ‘Inacraft on October 2023’.
I thank you,
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
