Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Send-Off of Humanitarian Assistance for Quake Victims in Türkiye and Syria at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta Province, February 21, 2023

Good afternoon,
May peace be upon us all.

My fellow citizens,

Ladies and Gentlemen.

Humanitarian diplomacy continues to be carried out by our country, Indonesia. This morning, we are going to send assistance consisting of 140 tons of food and logistic aids by four aircrafts to Türkiye and Syria.

Previously, we have deployed Indonesia’s SAR team, medical team, and have built helpful field hospital as well as [provided] Hercules aircrafts to support the initial evacuation process for quake victims in Türkiye and Syria.

It is our hope that the aids we sent can help our brothers and sisters in quake-affected regions. That concludes my remarks on this auspicious occasion.
