Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia During Groundbreaking of Teras Hutan Ibu Kota Nusantara by Plataran, Nusantara Capital, E. Kalimantan Province, September 25, 2024

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good morning,

May prosperity be upon us all.

Honorable Minister of Investment, Minister of Transportation,

Honorable Deputy Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority,

Governor of East Kalimantan Province,

Honorable Founder and CEO of Plataran Indonesia, Mr. Yozua Makes and Madam,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Esteemed Guests  and Distinguished Invitees,

I have often reiterated that investing in the new capital of Nusantara is about investing in the future.

Investing in Nusantara means buying an atmosphere we cannot find anywhere else. And I greatly appreciate the investment Plataran plans to make in Nusantara because we all know the caliber of Plataran.

If Plataran has entered Nusantara, it means it will bring enthusiasm and spirit and others will surely follow because Plataran is already here.

The Teras Hutan Ibu Kota Nusantara by Plataran will offer a world-class venue and dining experience and is to be built on approximately 2,000 square meters of land.

And earlier, I asked Mr. Yozua, “When will it be completed?” Whenever there is investment, I always ask not when it starts but when it will finish. Approximately in about a year, inshaallah it will be completed in about a year. So in a year, we will see Plataran already in Nusantara.

Secondly, with the completion of the Nusantara Airport, we successfully made our first landing yesterday. After several tests, I asked Minister of Transportation, “Is it truly safe?” He confirmed it. So I landed at the airport.

Upon arrival, the runway was smooth, everything was functioning well, but the full completion will be by the end of December. By the end of December, everything will be ready, including the terminal and the 3,000-meter-long runway, allowing wide-body aircraft to land in Nusantara.

We hope this will increase traffic and activity to and from the capital, creating a vibrant ecosystem for the capital we all love.
