Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia During the Inauguration of Sukawati Art Market, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province February 1, 2023

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

This afternoon, we visited Sukawati art market in which the construction has been completed and the market will be inaugurated today. This is a public market. Let’s remember the previous condition of the market and now take a look at this new building.

This market including Building A, B, and C and [the construction] spent a budget of Rp160 billions. I already noticed a drastic change in the face of the market. The arrangement of goods, Bali’s micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises products are sold here. I hope the reputation of Sukowati as a public market could be well-established in the future.

As we are aware, public activity restrictions were revoked in December last year. I expect more tourists, both domestic and foreign tourists will visit Bali, the Island of Gods.
