Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia During the Inauguration of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Revitalization at Lake Archipelago TMII, Special Capital Region of Jakarta, September 1, 2023

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good evening,

May peace be upon us all,

Om swastiastu,

Namo buddhaya,

Greetings of virtue.

Distinguished Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Prof. K.H. Ma’ruf Amin and spouse,

Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet and members of the Organization of Solidarity Action in the Era of Indonesia Onward Cabinet (OASE-KIM),

Distinguished Commissioners and Board of Directors of Injourney,

All public figures in attendance tonight,

All local people and people of Jakarta tonight who are present at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah,

Good evening,

Thank God, the revitalization of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah that has been carried out since January last year, 2022, has been finished. It used a budget of, as Minister Erick Thohir said earlier, Rp1.070 trillion and Rp200 billion from PT Injourney.

And the public can now visit and enjoy the new Taman Mini Indonesia Indah that is more neatly arranged, greener, more beautiful, and more comfortable. I asked the President Directors, “What time does it close?” “It closes at 8 PM.”

And the revitalization restores the spirit initiated by Madam Tien Soeharto. And in the afternoon, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah can be cooler because the concept has been restored in accordance with its initial masterplan, consisting of 70 percent of green open space and 30 percent of building. Also, all museum buildings and pavilions at TMII have been improved and revitalized with an inclusive and smart building concept and by emphasizing culture.

I am sure that with its new appearance, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah will be a great tourism icon in Jakarta and certainly in Indonesia.

That concludes my statement on this auspicious occasion. And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby inaugurate the revitalization of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah tonight.
