Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Distinguished General Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. H. Haedar Nashir, M.Si and all ranks of PP Muhammadiyah,

Distinguished regional leaders, branches, sub-branches and special branches throughout Indonesia and abroad,

Distinguished Muhammadiyah family,

Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the people, the nation and the country, I’d like to congratulate Muhammadiyah on its the 108th anniversary. Muhammadiyah has devoted a lot of works and contributions, with sincere devotion, which is getting stronger with time. For that, on behalf of the people, the nation and the country, I would like to express my deep gratitude. It is my hope that Muhammadiyah’s journey will be more prosperous and significant in the nation’s journey. Amen.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Muhammadiyah is a gift from God for Indonesia initiated through the Islamic enlightenment movement by Indonesian cleric Ahmad Dahlan. Muhammadiyah continues to disseminate Islamic teachings based on the Koran and hadiths into the life of Indonesians society in a contextual manner for the benefit of the society. Muhammadiyah always does good deeds and strives for prosperity and peace within the framework of sustainable Islamic values.

I myself felt the quality of Muhammadiyah’s charity business services. My first grandson was born in Muhammadiyah Solo Hospital, following in the footsteps of his grandmother to become part of Muhammadiyah. First Lady Iriana also went to the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. And millions of Indonesians have benefited from the progress and innovations made by this organization, as well as enjoying the services provided by the Muhammadiyah to improve the health and education of the community.

I also appreciate Muhammadiyah’s real work in tackling health and economic problems during the pandemic. Through the special team of the Muhammadiyah COVID-19 Command Center (MCCC), 82 hospitals in various provinces as well as 40 universities are all active in serving the communities through the COVID-19 response programs straight to the grassroots.

On this auspicious occasion, I also would like to thank doctors, medical personnel, and health workers at Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Hospitals who have been working tirelessly day and night. May God always protect and bless you in carrying out this very noble task.

Beloved Muhammadiyah Family,

The Government is currently preparing for restoring public health through vaccination. I hope Muhammadiyah can help provide correct explanations and understandings so that the public will not get false information or harmful hoaxes.

The Government is committed to preparing the vaccination program as well as possible, while ensuring the safety, effectiveness, the halal aspect, and public access to the vaccine so that Indonesia can quickly recover and rise from the pandemic. God willing, all goodwill and efforts that we do will get the blessing of God.

That concludes my remarks.

Thank you,
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
