Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia on Distribution of Food Assistance and Medicines for Residents,15 July 2021 Sunter Agung Sub-district, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta

Tonight, I visited Sunter Agung village to distribute basic food assistance to the people. The Government has prepared 200,000 tons of rice to be distributed by the (state-owned logistics company) Bulog.

I also distributed medicine and vitamin packages to people who are self-isolating, namely Package 1 for people with mild symptoms, Package 2 for people with moderate symptoms, and Package 3.

In the first phase, the Government will also distribute 300,000 medicine packages and by next week another 300,000 packages will be distributed.

I hope the distribution of food assistance and medicine packages as well as vitamins and supplements can ease the people’s burden amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
