Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

May prosperity be upon us all,

Shalom,
Om swastiastu,
Namo Buddhaya,

Greetings of virtue.

To all people of Indonesia, especially to people with disabilities throughout the country, I wish you all Happy International Day of People with Disabilities.

I would like to call on all people and government personnel at the central and regional levels to make sure that the rights of the people with disabilities are fulfilled.

Through regulations and policies, and an inclusive social culture, through cooperation between the National Commission for Disabilities and all national components, we can encourage active participation from the people with disabilities in our development and improve access to disabled-friendly public services.

People with disabilities should have the same opportunities, ample opportunities to get proper education, work and have careers, and achieve success.

I want improvement in providing breakfast for the people with disabilities at government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and private companies. Therefore, improving skills of the people with disabilities should be the top priority.

In sports sector, people with disabilities made a great achievement. In August 2022, we hosted the 11th  ASEAN Paragames, becoming the grand champion and won 425 medals.

Let us continue make great endeavors so Indonesia can be home of people with disabilities – a place which is friendlier, more comfortable, and full of hopes, and where they can work and aim for development and success.

Once again, Happy International Day of People with Disabilities.

I thank you.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. (AW/EP)
