Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamuálaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Good morning,
May prosperity be upon us all,

Distinguished Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet, present with me here Minister of State Secretary, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN),

Distinguished Chief of the National Police, Distinguished Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces and all ranks,

Distinguished Chairperson of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority, Governor of East Kalimantan Province, and the Regent of North Penajam Paser,

Ladies and Gentlemen, Esteemed Guests,

Alhamdulillah, this morning marks the commencement of laying the first stone for the construction of precinct police station located in the IKN area covered by an area of 6,189 square meters within a 12-hectare land parcel.

That is the area of the building. The construction target will take around nine months and will be supported by a budget worth Rp160 billion.

I order a specially designed structure since this police station is special in IKN, specifically a green building. Given the green nature of this area, I’d like the design of the police station to be subtly adjusted to reflect a more environmentally friendly and green aesthetic.

While the construction has just started, the National Police Chief told me that there will be the incorporation of advanced technology into the security system of the police station.

I emphasize the need to thoroughly prepare everything, including CCTV, a command center, and artificial intelligence (AI) analysis, as integral components to minimize crime and ensure the protection of its residents. That way, it can serve as an example for other cities, the organization must be thoroughly prepared, ensuring proper readiness for implementation.

We will assign IKN Special Police with approximately 750 personnel to oversee operations across the six designated sub-precinct police stations in the area. I am pleased to note that the personnel have been stationed and prepared at all levels of the Regional Police in East Kalimantan. Once the IKN Special Police is completed, the seamless transition of the 750 personnel to the IKN Police will be swift.

I hope the police station in IKN will significantly enhance services, provide better community protection, strengthen law enforcement, and contribute to the overall stability and security in the IKN area.

That concludes my remarks.

And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this morning I hereby inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony for Precinct Police (Polres) in Indonesia’s new capital of Nusantara.

I thank you.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
